Short answer: open the link, click Edit, update the field you need (destination, slug/domain, title, UTMs, tags), and Save. Changing the destination keeps the same analytics. Changing the slug or domain creates a new public URL, so re-download any QR and plan communications accordingly.
1

Open the link editor

Go to Links, click your link row, then Edit.
2

Change the destination (URL)

Replace the Destination URL and Save.Your analytics continue on the same link object (no reset).
For large campaign pivots, consider duplicating rather than pivoting. See: How to duplicate a link in ShortPen.

3

Change the slug (or domain) only if necessary

Update Domain and/or Slug and Save. This creates a new public URL.
It’s generally not recommended to change a link’s slug or domain, because it creates a completely new public URL and the previous link stops working.Your analytics remain intact, **and if the link used the default domain **shr.pnthe previous slug becomes available again , so you must update any old shares or printed QR codes, they will no longer work as before. If your goal is to publish the link under a new URL or campaign, it’s usually better to create a new link instead.

4

Review campaign metadata

Adjust Title, Folder, Tags, UTM Parameters to keep reporting tidy.
5

Check advanced options (optional)

Confirm Redirect type, Password protection, Social Share Preview, etc., still match your intent.
6

Save and validate

  • Click Save.
  • If slug/domain changed, re-download the QR and update any placements.
