Short answer: Use Make to automate ShortPen tasks without code. You can create links on the fly inside any Make “scenario,” or call any ShortPen API endpoint through a generic action.

What you can do

  • Create a Link: adds a new ShortPen link (with optional QR) in your chosen workspace.
  • Make an API Call : performs any authorized ShortPen API request for advanced cases.

The quickest setup

  1. In Make, create a scenario and click + to add a module.
  2. Search ShortPen → choose Create a Link.
  3. Add a connection → paste your ShortPen API key.
  4. Map the fields shown by Make (destination, domain, slug, title, etc).
  5. Run once to test → confirm the new link appears in ShortPen. Then connect other apps (e.g., Sheets, Forms) as triggers or next steps.
