Short answer: Zapier lets you automatically create a ShortPen link whenever something happens in another app (a new spreadsheet row, a form submission, a purchase, etc.). In Zapier, add ShortPen as an Action using Shorten URL and map the fields you already have.

What you can automate

  • Create a link from any app that provides an URL (e.g., Google Sheets, HubSpot).
  • Generate a QR Code for a link you just created.
  • Update link details (title, slug, metadata).

How it works

  1. In Zapier, search ShortPen and connect it.
  2. Build a Zap:
    • Use another app as the trigger (e.g., “New row in Google Sheets”).
    • Choose a ShortPen action (Create link / Generate QR code / Update link).
  3. Test the Zap and turn it on.
  • Trigger: New row in Google Sheets (the sheet has a column with a destination URL and a title).
  • Action: ShortPen → Shorten URL
    • Map Very long URL → the sheet’s URL column
    • Map Title → the sheet’s title column
    • Select your Domain ID
    • (Optional) Generate QR = yes + set brand colors
  • Result: Each new row creates a fresh ShortPen link you can share or track.
