Short answer: In ShortPen, only the event tracking limit can be exceeded. When you hit your monthly events quota, new events stop being recorded, and a warning appears in your analytics. Your links and scans keep working.

What can actually exceed in ShortPen?

  • Events per month (conversions like purchases, signups). Once you reach your plan’s monthly cap, additional events are not recorded. You’ll see a warning in the analytics panel.
  • Other limits (e.g., users, workspaces, domains) are hard limits: you can’t go beyond them on the current plan. If you downgrade and are over the free limits, the extra items are paused (not deleted) until you upgrade again.

What you’ll see when you hit the events limit

  • No new events are counted. Existing analytics remain visible. Clicks/scans still track as usual.
  • A warning banner appears in the analytics panel indicating the limit was reached.
