How to install a pixel into a Shopify store: Steps
Start from ShortPen
In ShortPen, go to Settings → Organization → Pixels → Create new pixel, then choose Shopify and go to the official ShortPen app page.
Install the app and connect
In Shopify, install the ShortPen App.Then, always in your Shopify store, open the ShortPen App, go to Settings, and start authentication with ShortPen. This way, you’ll link your ShortPen account to your Shopify store.If prompted, sign in to ShortPen and confirm.When done, the store ↔ ShortPen connection is active and your Pixel is linked.
Automatic Pixel installation
The integration automatically injects the ShortPen Pixel into your storefront.Your store is now ready to track events and conversions. No manual code or theme edits are needed.

Manage tracked events (inside Shopify)
After the connection is active:- Open Apps → ShortPen in your Shopify admin.
- In the app dashboard, you’ll see a list of predefined Shopify ecommerce events (e.g., Product View, Add to Cart, Checkout Started, Purchase).
- Enable or disable each event according to your needs.
- Save your settings.
What gets tracked automatically?
