# How to create and customize QR Codes in ShortPen

> Create and customize QR Codes in ShortPen. Add colors, logos, and track scans or conversions with built-in analytics.

**Short answer:** Open the link editor → **QR Code** → toggle **Enable QR code** → set **color** and **logo** → **Save** the link → **Download** the QR.

## Before you start

* A link in your workspace. You can create one here: [How to create a link in ShortPen](/link-management/links/link-creation).
* (Optional) Your [organization logo](/organization-management/organization-settings) set up for branding.
* (Optional) [ShortPen Pixel](/key-concepts/pixel-overview) + [events](/key-concepts/events-and-conversions-overview) if you want to measure post-scan conversions.

## How to create and customize QR Codes: Steps

    Go to **Links** → **New Link** (or open an existing one → **Edit**).

    Set Destination **URL**, domain + slug, and any folder/tags.

  <Step title="Enable the QR code">
    In the left panel, open **QR Code** and switch **Enable QR code for this link** to **ON**.

    <Note>
      **Note**: The QR preview won’t scan until you **Save** the link

  <Step title="Customize the design">
    * **Color:** Pick a preset (black, green, red, yellow, blue, purple, orange) or set a custom HEX (foreground).
    * **Logo:** No logo, use your Organization logo, or upload a logo.
    * **Preview:** Check contrast/readability.

    After saving, download from:

    * The **success dialog** after creating the link
    * The **link details/analytics** page (**QR** icon → **Preview QR code** → **Download**).
