# How to view aggregate metrics for your ShortPen workspace

> View total clicks, scans, and conversions across your ShortPen workspace to analyze performance and top sources.

**Short answer:** Open your workspace, go to **Analytics** to see totals and trends across all links, QR codes, and events, plus breakdown tables for folders/tags, sources, devices, countries, and more.

<Tip>
  Advanced, full-detail segmentation (e.g., filter by folders/tags or view complete tables) is available on [paid plans](/account-billing-security/plans-and-limits/plans-and-limits). Free plans show limited top rows.
</Tip>

## Metrics you’ll find on your workspace dashboard

Workspace analytics combine all links, QR codes, and events inside the same workspace, giving you a complete view of your overall performance.

Here’s how to read each section of the **Overview** dashboard.

### 1. Overview and Totals

#### Summary Cards

At the top of the page, you’ll find key totals for:

* **Clicks:** all clicks from every workspace link
* **QR Scans:** all QR interactions
* **Events / Conversions:** total tracked actions triggered by users

Each metric can display **total** or **unique** counts, helping you estimate true reach across campaigns.

#### Event Conversion Rate

When events are available, ShortPen calculates the **%CR (conversion rate)** based on clicks and scans across all links.

This helps you assess how efficiently your traffic turns into measurable outcomes.

### 2. Trends Over Time

#### Traffic and Event Trends

The **Trends** chart visualizes how clicks, scans, and events evolve across the selected date range.

You can:

* Switch between **Line** and **Column** view
* Overlay multiple metrics on the same graph
* Hover over any point to see the exact count and date

This section is perfect for spotting peaks, seasonal changes, or performance drops after a campaign update.

### 3. Top-Performing Assets

#### Links and QR Codes

Tables rank the most clicked links and scanned QR codes in your workspace.

You can use these rankings to identify your strongest campaigns or to detect underperforming ones that may need attention.

#### Events

Below the links, you’ll find a summary of your most active **events**, showing total count and average conversion rate.

This lets you quickly recognize which goals, signups, purchases, and downloads drive the most impact.

### 4. Breakdown Tables

Each breakdown table provides a different lens on where your workspace traffic and conversions come from.

Use the **“Show more”** control to expand any table or scroll for deeper insights.

#### Folders, Tags, and Domains

Group your data by **Folder**, **Tag**, or **Domain** to compare projects, clients, or branded links.

* [Folders](/link-management/links-organization/folders) highlight campaign or client performance.
* [Tags](/link-management/links-organization/tags) let you analyze results across overlapping categories.
* [Domains](/key-concepts/domains-overview) show which branded domain generates more engagement.

#### Sources

The **Sources** view helps you understand how users reached your links.

It includes two tabs:

* **Domain view**: groups visits by referring domain (e.g., instagram.com, linkedin.com)
* **URL view**: drills down to the exact page or post that drove the click or scan

When referrer information isn’t available (for example, from private apps or DMs), traffic appears as **Direct**.

#### Countries and Languages

Shows the **geographic** and **linguistic** distribution of your audience.

Use it to:

* Detect your strongest markets
* Validate localized content or campaigns
* Understand where language preferences differ from physical locations

<Note>
  “Unknown” entries appear when location or language data can’t be inferred, such as users browsing via VPN.
</Note>

#### Devices, Browsers, and Platforms

These tables help you understand **how** people access your content:

* **Devices:** Desktop, Mobile, Tablet
* **Browsers:** Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, and in-app browsers
* **Platforms:** Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux

Combine them to ensure consistent user experience across environments.

#### Timeframe

Displays how clicks, scans, and conversions are distributed throughout the selected period, daily or hourly.

Use this to detect when your audience is most active or to spot anomalies that may indicate tracking issues.

#### Campaign (UTM)

When your traffic carries [UTM parameters](/link-management/links-settings/utm-overview), ShortPen can break it down by **Source**, **Medium**, **Campaign**, **Content**, and **Term**.

<Note>
  On the **workspace** dashboard this **Campaign** block is hidden by default. It appears only after you narrow the data to **exactly one Link or one QR code** (for example, by clicking a row in the **Links** or **QR Codes** table), because UTM values are most meaningful per asset. </Note>

### 5. Interpreting the Data

* Look for **correlations** between spikes in the Trends chart and changes in **sources** or **campaign launches**.
* Combine **Folders/Tags filters** with **Countries** or **Devices** to pinpoint who’s engaging most with your campaigns.
* Pair **Events** and **Conversions** with **Traffic Trends** to identify which activities truly drive business outcomes.
